LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design in the Green Building Rating System. It's a certification program and the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings. LEED accredited professionals have demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles, and a familiarity with LEED requirements, resources and processes.
